We have heard many horror stories about bad horse purchases.  It seems
there are an abundance of honest horse buyers, but very few honest horse
dealers. Its frustrating for us to hear that someone has been hurt or taken
advantage of and no longer has the desire to ride or be around horses.

We are very careful when it comes to buying horses for our customers.  We
buy from private parties, mainly ranches in Texas and Oklahoma.  The
horses are brought to our ranch and then tested extensively in various
areas. We will sack the horses out (plastic bag on end of whip and put all
over body) and handled on the ground.  They are then saddled up and we
will cross tarps, bridges, water and logs. Horses are introduced to dogs,
cars, kids, cattle, goats, llamas, sheep and sometimes pigs (if available).
The horse is then put in a category of Beginner/Advanced and so on.

Our younger students (ages from 4-14) will ride and handle most of these
horses, so of course we are very particular on the types of horses we
purchase.  Our older students (14 to ?) will usually ride the more advanced
horses. This gives us an idea on how the horse handles with different
riders. It also gives the students the exposure to different horses and
personalities.

Prospective buyers are allowed to come ride the horse as many times as
they would like and we also welcome trainers and friends.  We have been
here for over 15 years and intend on staying, so we want you to feel
comfortable and happy with your experience.
