Little Ranch Hands

The Little Ranch Hands program was created in 2004.  The
idea was to bring kids out to the ranch to experience ranch
life. During the summer, kids from the city come to the ranch
for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks.  They are divided in teams of 10
and are responsible for feeding, watering and general care of
the ranch animals.  Then the fun begins!!!!! The kids learn how
to rope, tie knots, saddle horses and much more.  We have
stick horse barrel racing and sponge races in the arena with
the HUGE sprinklers going!!!! Theres no way for anyone to
leave clean.

Handling and caring for the
ranch animals teaches the kids
responsibility, compassion and
team work.

Feeding and learning about the horses is
a big part of the Ranch Hands program.
It can be hard work but is a definite
confidence boost to be responsible for
such large animals.
